Cosplay Mania 2014 Evolution

After a day of spazzing over Christina, we went on the second day of Cosmania! It is actually our first time to visit Cosplay Mania! We've been to other cosplay conventions such as ToyCon and Ozine Fest for more than once already! They rented three function rooms in SMX Convention Center in order to accommodate thousands of con-goers! What's more awesome was they had a free hall! You can enter the third function room without having to purchase a ticket! The ticketing was hierarchical. Gold, silver and bronze tickets were sold. Very similar with concert tickets, from VIP to general admission. The more money you pay, the more perks you receive! The baggage counter and changing area were another pros available in the convention! Unlike other cosplay conventions, cosplayers would usually change via SMX's rest rooms and they would loiter outside the function rooms! Such a praiseworthy job Cosplay Mania! :D

The gate for ticket holders was inside the third function room. There was a separate lane for each ticket level. :)
There were more people and booths inside the fourth function room compared to the free one. People you see inside were card gamers, cosplayers, shoppers and many more! We didn't hurriedly went inside the bronze area since we roamed around the free hall first. Right when we went inside, we were lucky enough to catch the Doraemon game happening on stage and then they performed a dance number afterwards! It brought so much childhood feels! xD
We continued wandering after the Doraemon show! We stumbled upon the booth of Japan Embassy and noticed something going on there. There was a mini game where you could win some magazines and other cool stuffs! Since we got nothing better to do, we decided to try the game! It was only AJ who was able to shoot one hoop! :))
Everything happened too fast? Nope, we only stayed for about 2 to 3 hours and then we left Cosplay Mania! The convention was a bit boring compared to others that we've been to! Probably because the event has more to offer in the last function room! Too bad we weren't able to avail the pricier tickets. Our budget left us hanging! In other words, bitin! Haha! We still had fun nonetheless! Right after we left, we went to SM Mall of Asia to grab some Krispy Kreme doughnuts for the birthday girl! We were supposed to get an Oreo cheese cake instead but she was craving for something else! Belated happy birthday Lhera! Belated it is since her birthday was last Thursday! We also had an after pizza party which took place in Angelique's address! Sorry for no pictures because it will be out of place here! We've finally come to the end of this post! Thank you for reading and see you on the next event! Ciao! :3

Christina Grimmie in Glorietta

Just a week before today, MMI Live announced Christina Grimmie's mall tour with the partnership of Ayala Malls! She will be going to Alabang Town Center, Glorietta and Trinoma this weekend! Who would want to miss Christina Grimmie in Manila? Since we're frands of Christina even before she joined the sixth season of The Voice, we really wanted to meet her closely and personally! The show was actually open to public, but if you want to be closer to her then you have promo options to choose from. First 100 CD buyers gets a signing stub! We went to Glorietta at 8am since we wanted to get the limited stub. They didn't really start selling CDs at 10am, they just gave us a meet and greet stub for us to show it once we're going to purchase the CD. The show is not until 7pm thereby we got plenty of time before meeting Christina! We grabbed some food to eat and continued the unfinished fan art drawing! :D

We immediately went back in the Activity Center by 4pm since we didn't want to be left out, passes will be forfeited 30 minutes before the show. We already know that the show will start later than the said time. Totally understandable since the team will be traveling from Alabang to Glorietta. It was also raining cats and dogs ergo there was traffic going on! We were allowed to enter the closed part of the area by 6:30pm and we waited for about an hour before the show started! The crowd went wild and all cameras went up as soon as it was announced that only few minutes to go and then Christina Grimmie will be appearing on stage! Finally! Extremely spazzing because of excitement! :D
These were only our well captured moments during the show! Hope you enjoyed these photos and give credit to our blog in case you'll share them! Christina sang about 8 or 9 songs like Tell My Mama, Must Be Love and Over Overthinking You! There was an interactive performance of Absolutely Final Goodbye, she would point the microphone to a certain part of the crowd and they would have to sing or scream "goodbye"! Our all time favorite which is the title of her second album and The Voice audition song was performed by Grimmie! She also sang some of her older songs from her first album like Advice and Liar Liar which she mixed with Titanium! Utterly love it when she shares a short story about the song she'll be singing for us! The last sentence was a tongue twister! Hahaha! We really had a blast even though the long waiting was tedious! Absolutely worth it! We enjoyed meeting and chatting with Christina even if it was just a short moment! Hoping to meet her again when she comes back here! Team Grimmie Rawks! ♥
