Beach Birthday Party

Summer has already started in the Philippines and it's not really a big thing because it's always hot in our country! Before our graduation, we talked about our plans in summer and one of our checklist was a beach party! We went to Club Manila East in Taytay last year and it was just an all-in-one pool resort therefore we wanted to be more adventurous and head to a beach this year! We got four April babies in our group and they're the one who shall treat us, but our budget was limited so we went for an affordable beach resort! It was Catada Beach Resort in Lobo, Batangas! There was no entrance fee compared to others! The only thing that we have to pay for was the cottage rent and it was only a thousand pesos! On the grumpy side of the story, the place was immensely far from our area! It took 4 hours from Binondo to the beach! Apparently we spent more on gas than our food and cottage rent because we got three cars! Plus the way from Batangas to the beach was very mind-shaking with the zigzag road of the mountain that we went through! Oh well, you have to spend and take risks to enjoy life! Now start scrolling down and join our fun adventure! :D

Camera used was Canon EOS 60D

We actually expected that there would be raining and we won't be liking the weather for the beach party because of the tropical storm bypassing Visayas, but the weather was actually perfect! It was kind of cloudy when we reached the location and then the sun came out after a while. We initially went swimming right after leaving our stuffs in our cottage! It didn't take long for hunger to strike us so it's time for our jam-packed lunch! We basically did everything that we could do to have fun under the sun! We had card games, volleyball game, sword fighting game like fencing and a mermaid plus pirate photoshoot! And of course, you can't leave the beach without making use of the sand! :D

Here comes the time for the sun to set! As planned, we made a bonfire for our cozy night in the beach! We cooked fries and mallows for this moment! Then it's time for us to sing a birthday song for the April babies! For dinner we had chocolate cakes and the melted ice cream! Definitely dessert madness but it was such a guilty pleasure! Hahaha! xD
Once again, happy birthday Karren, Legs, Celine, Bia and Jen! The night went crazy as the disco light was turned on! Unfortunately, the party has to end early for us to get home safely! Going back from the beach to Batangas and SLEX went safe and smooth unlike how we went to the beach earlier! It was a tedious day for us but it was utterly worth it for the fun memories that we made together! It's actually our first time to go far from our town together, first time to go to beach with friends and first time to cook smores with bonfire! It was truly an incredible experience for us to remember for the rest of our lives! Hopefully we could do this annually every summer! Can't wait for our next adventure!
