How to Clean Silver Jewelries

Silver accessories are extremely beautiful upon purchase. Unfortunately, it's beauty is not forever. There will be a time when its shine will fade and it will discolor. You can either have it cleaned by the jewelry store or by yourself. It is super easy to clean! All you need is a cleaner which you can purchase in jewelry stores. The product that we will use here is from Unisilver, it retails for 69 or 70PhP. We will show you how to achieve the silver shine that you want! :D

This is what the inside looks like. There is a transparent plastic seal to prevent the blue liquid from leaking. Scissor is recommended if you want to remove the seal because using your hands would be laborious and dangerous.

After opening the safety seal, we can now start cleaning! First thing to do is to dip your jewelry. It will probably do its job in less than two minutes! Use a toothbrush to remove the accessory from the container. :D

Apparently, the silver turned yellowish. If you want to remove the yellow color, you can use a toothpaste and rub it with toothbrush. This will remove the yellow color and the pungent odor residue of the silver cleaner.

For the final test, we have this black covered ring. It took about two to three dips in order to clean it thoroughly. It also required deep rubbing because it was covered by dirt for over a year. It already became a stain.
That's it for this cleaning tutorial! You can use this product for silver or gold accessories only! It contains chemicals that could destroy fake silver or other metals. Avoid contact to eyes, skin and mouth. If you don't have the time and patience to visit your nearest jewelry store and wait for it, then you should probably purchase a silver cleaner and clean it yourself. Hope this tutorial was helpful! Leave a comment if you want to ask a question! Thank you for reading! :D

  7. Nag fafade ba talaga yung silver kahit 925 silver siya? Still from the same shop, unisilver. Yung akin kasi nag discolor after 8years. When I compared it to my newly bought chain na same design, ibang iba talaga yung shine. I cleaned it with vinegar and toothpaste, di parin same yung shine.
