Aeropostale Afternoon of Styling Session

This afternoon, Aeropostale held its first styling event featuring Tricia Gosingtian! Everyone's encouraged to attend the afternoon of sips, snacks and styling tips with the guest fashion blogger. No necessary purchase to spare because it was an open event. Aeropostale also held a generous 40% off discount on regular items during the event per se. As usual, we went ahead of time to their location at Shangri-la Plaza East Wing Aero branch because we don't want to miss a thing. Perks of arriving early was a welcoming seat! There were only several attendants by then and most of the chairs were not yet occupied. We were also one of the first to try their food hence we got a photo of it first! :D

Camera used was Canon SX50 HS

As the event invite says, sips and snacks will be given throughout the event! A green lime drink was offered for starter and soother of our thirst. Then the rest came along afterwards, variation of finger food was being offered. :3

Here's the second look, because the first one was Tricia's outfit. This look is the perfect outfit for music festivals or concerts. Just a cropped top and high-waisted shorts for the outdoor event. You also have a long-sleeve polo shirt hanging on your waist, just wear it as top in case the night gets cold. One tip of wearing a cropped top with exposed belly is to pair it with a high-waisted short or skirt. This tip is particularly for conservative people if you don't want to show skin and it is also a great cover for your tummy in case you are bloated after eating. :D

The next outfit is the most appropriate for school. A top with a sleeve and a high-waisted jeans! Nothing goes wrong with anything high-waisted huh? Tricia paired the whole look with a taupe brown colored bag which is too out of the blue. One way to remedy the color problem is to balance the look by wearing a shoes with the same color as the bag.

It's now time to style the boys! A polo shirt and shorts is a perfect combo for that summer vibe look! For color balancing, the undershirt and shorts must contain the same color with the multi-colored polo shirt. Just like the dark blue undershirt and white shorts here which matches the colors of the plaid polo. You can also remove the polo shirt and hang it on your waist in case the weather gets warmer. Plus the outfit is also suitable for school.

The next outfit for the boys is something you would want to wear when it gets a little bit colder. You could wear this look for cold classrooms or during the gloomy weather. A hooded jacket together with a printed shirt is another perfect combination. Equilibrium of colors was also considered in this look. The jacket has red letters that matches the red letters printed in his shirt and the gray photo in the shirt matches his gray camo shorts.

Next in line is something you can wear when clubbing! Most of us college students want to experience partying and celebrating Happy Thursday! What you wear pretty much affects your mood. Want to be mysterious and sexy? Wear black! You can opt to wear a dress but for this one, it's a one piece swimsuit-like top and a puffy skater skirt! If you're curious about the one piece swimsuit-like top, just check the background of the the third look. It is something you might want to wear if you do not want your top going up and make you look like you have love handles.

Finally down to the last look! Print is the highlight of this outfit! This one is also wearable for clubs because of the fitted dress that adds curves and sexiness. If you're showing a part of your legs, you must balance the look by wearing a long-sleeve top or jacket. This is to make sure that you're not showing too much skin. A tip for wearing prints is to make sure you're wearing the same color but not the same print. An example is the print of the scarf and the dress, apparently the scarf has less prints and the dress has an aztec design but it is in black and white.

The talk about styling started a little late but it wasn't big of a deal because Aeropostale was painstakingly accommodating us with food and drinks. It was just a short talk wherein Tricia shares some of her fashion tips. She shared tips that can be appropriate for school and our country's weather. A total of seven looks (including hers) was prepared by Tricia. And in case you're wondering, the models are the student ambassadors of Aeropostale. :D
The talk ended earlier than expected since it was only a quick talk. But the event continued as we can have one-on-one consultation with Tricia Gosingtian. We went to Tricia and took a lot of selfies with her after her talk! We also chatted with her about everything in general. Hair, school, fashion, blogging and photography! There's just too much to talk about! We also mentioned about ToyCon 2014 which is happening today and tomorrow! She's interested to see the authentic costumes display of Rurouni Kenshin. We absolutely had a great time meeting Tricia for the first time, listening to her fashion tips and chatting with her! Kudos to Aeropostale for the well-organized event!
